Privacy Policy

How LamSnap handles your information.

This policy explains the information involved when you use LamSnap, why it is processed and the choices and limitations that apply.

1. Information LamSnap may process

Depending on how you use the service, LamSnap may process:

  • Furniture, room and laminate reference images that you upload.
  • Written instructions, selected surfaces, project settings and generated previews.
  • Project identifiers, generation state, timestamps and technical metadata needed to operate and troubleshoot the workflow.
  • Guest-session identifiers stored in a security cookie so a browser can access its own project.
  • Contact or account information only if you provide it through a verified LamSnap channel or a future account feature.
  • Basic request, device, browser, network and security information generated when the service is used.

No dedicated third-party analytics integration was identified in the current website implementation. Operational hosting or security services may still create standard access logs.

2. How information is used

LamSnap uses information to receive uploads, analyse visible furniture surfaces, create requested previews, show project status, allow result access and download, secure guest projects, prevent abuse, diagnose failures and improve service reliability.

Images and instructions should not be used for unrelated advertising or sold as a standalone dataset without an appropriate notice and legal basis.

3. AI, hosting and other providers

LamSnap may send uploaded images, instructions and necessary technical context to configured AI-processing providers to perform surface analysis or image generation. Hosting, database, storage, network and security providers may process information needed to run the service.

Which provider handles a request can depend on the deployed configuration and service availability. Those providers process data under their own terms and security practices as applicable.

4. Storage, retention and deletion

Project records, upload metadata, private image files, job state and generated outputs may be stored in LamSnap's configured file or database systems. Temporary processing copies may also exist with service providers.

A final retention schedule and verified deletion-request channel have not yet been published. Until they are approved, users should avoid uploading information they do not want retained for service operation, security or troubleshooting.

5. Cookies and local app data

LamSnap uses a signed guest-session cookie to associate a browser with its projects and protect access. The installable web app may use a service worker and browser cache for public application files and offline interface support. Private uploads, credentials and API generation traffic are not intended to be stored in the public app-shell cache.

6. Security limitations

LamSnap uses technical controls intended to reduce unauthorised access, including private image handling, guest ownership checks and restricted caching. No online system can guarantee absolute security. Keep sensitive people, documents and surroundings out of upload images.

7. Your choices and requests

You can choose not to upload an image or instruction. Where applicable law provides access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection rights, LamSnap will need a reliable way to verify the requester and the relevant project.

The verified privacy-request channel must be published on the Contact page before external release of this policy.

8. Children's use

LamSnap is not designed as a service directed to children. A child should not upload images or personal information without involvement from a parent or legal guardian and any consent required by applicable law.

9. Policy updates

This policy may be updated as the service, providers, retention practices or legal requirements change. Material changes should be presented with an updated effective date and, where appropriate, a clear notice.
