What does LamSnap do?
LamSnap uses your furniture or room photo, laminate reference image and written instruction to generate a preview of the requested finish on visible furniture surfaces. It is a comparison aid, not a technical specification or colour-proofing tool.
What kind of furniture photo is useful?
Use a clear, well-lit image where panel boundaries, shutters, drawers and handles are visible. Heavy blur, deep shadows, glare, obstructions or extreme angles can make surface interpretation less reliable.
How is the laminate reference used?
The uploaded sample image guides the generated texture, grain and tone. Photograph the sample straight-on under even light. The Studio currently accepts up to three laminate reference images.
Do I need to mask the furniture manually?
No manual brush or masking step is part of the current Studio flow. You describe the intended surfaces in writing and LamSnap analyses the image. Because this is AI-assisted, you should review whether the requested boundaries were interpreted correctly.
Can I choose from a built-in laminate catalogue?
No public catalogue-selection workflow is currently available. Use photos of your own laminate samples or reference material that you have permission to use.
Why is the preview not exact colour proof?
Cameras, room lighting, sample lighting, display settings, image compression and AI generation can all change perceived colour and texture. The physical laminate sample under the intended lighting is the final reference.
What surfaces are supported?
LamSnap is focused on visible laminate-ready furniture surfaces such as wardrobe shutters, drawers, cabinets, TV units and office furniture. Results depend on image clarity and surface visibility; not every object or boundary will be interpreted correctly.
Will handles, gaps and panel lines remain accurate?
LamSnap aims to retain visible structure while changing the finish, but generated output can alter edges, handles, proportions, reflections or small details. Review every preview before relying on it.
How long does a generation take?
There is no guaranteed processing time. It can vary with the images, request, provider availability, queue state and network conditions.
What happens if generation fails?
The Studio should show a failure state rather than presenting an incomplete result. Credit consumption or restoration depends on the recorded generation outcome and the applicable credit policy. No automatic refund or restoration guarantee is implied.
Are uploaded images private?
Uploads and project data are processed to provide the service and may be stored by LamSnap's configured persistence systems. AI processing may involve configured third-party providers. Review the Privacy Policy before uploading images that contain people, private documents or sensitive surroundings.
Can designers or dealers use LamSnap?
LamSnap may support early finish conversations for homeowners, interior designers and laminate dealers. Users remain responsible for permissions, client expectations, physical sample confirmation and professional specifications.
Can I use the generated preview commercially?
You remain responsible for the rights to your inputs and for checking whether a generated output is suitable for your intended use. Do not present a preview as guaranteed material, colour or fabrication proof.
Can I download the result?
The current result state includes a download action when a generation completes successfully. Availability can depend on the project and output state.
